Vitamin D3 is an essential nutrient that helps maintain healthy bones and a healthy immune system, as well as supporting overall well-being. Each capsule contains 4000 IU of Vitamin D3 and 100 mcg of K2-MK7.

National Overview

Even with sunshine, Portugal remains deficient.

Most people in Portugal live below the protective threshold. Vitamin D deficiency is not just a number on a blood test; it may be the root cause of chronic fatigue, low immunity, and bone fragility.

Benefits of Vitamin D3 Supplementation

01 Emotional Balance Support

Clinical studies indicate that supplementation with Vitamin D3 can contribute to improvements in mood, anxiety and depression in people with insufficient levels. 1 2

02 Effects on Influenza

Vitamin D3 supplementation has been associated with up to a 36% reduction in the risk of developing influenza in several clinical analyses, according to a meta-analysis of 10 randomized controlled trials. 3

03 Armored Respiratory System

An analysis of 25 clinical trials involving more than 10,000 participants concluded that Vitamin D supplementation may significantly reduce the risk of respiratory infections. 4

04 Vitamin D3 and the Colon

This is probably the field with the strongest scientific evidence in the context of Vitamin D3 and cancer. Several studies suggest that supplementation may be associated with a significant reduction in colon cancer mortality. 5 6

05 Anti-inflammatory Support

Vitamin D3 supplementation has been associated with significant reductions in inflammation levels, according to meta-analyses of clinical trials. 10 11

06 Headaches and Migraines

Meta-analyses indicate that Vitamin D3 supplementation may be associated with a significant reduction in the frequency and intensity of migraines in people who are deficient in this vitamin. 14

07 Health Support and Long Life

Current evidence, based on more than 80 randomized controlled clinical trials, suggests that regular Vitamin D3 supplementation may contribute to a statistically significant reduction in all-cause mortality. 16

What is Vitamin D3?

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is a unique vitamin synthesized in the skin through sun exposure. Its role is essential, but insufficient sun exposure (especially in winter or when working in an office) makes supplementation a crucial ally for health.

Prevalence of deficiency

PORTUGAL Portugal icon

66% of Portuguese adults are deficient in Vitamin D3. 19

Deficiency 66%
EUROPE

40% of Europeans have levels considered insufficient. 20 These levels worsen dramatically during winter due to low sun exposure.

Reference Levels

For robust health, the goal is to remain in the green zone at all times. Levels below 29 ng/mL require immediate attention. 22

Deficiency < 29 ng/mL
32
Ideal Level > 32 ng/mL

The D3 + K2 Synergy

Without K2: The Risk of Calcification

Vitamin D3 increases calcium absorption. Without K2 to guide that calcium, it may be deposited in the arteries (calcification) instead of the bones. 26

With K2: Calcium’s GPS

Vitamin K2 activates proteins that prevent arterial calcification and “bind” calcium to the bones, where it is actually needed. 27

Pay attention to the form of K2

We use the MK7 (Menaquinone-7), which is far superior and more bioavailable than the common MK4 found in generic products. 31

Problems Associated with Vitamin D3 Deficiency

The list of problems associated with Vitamin D3 deficiency is extensive, so levels should always be monitored to ensure adequacy. A deficiency of this vitamin significantly increases the risk of several conditions:

Bone fractures 32
Chronic kidney disease 33
Diabetes 34
Multiple sclerosis 35
Mortality 36
Rickets 37
Osteoporosis 38
Depression 39

Dose Safety

The EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) sets 4,000 IU as the safe daily limit, even for people aged 11 and over. Doses below 10,000 IU/day carry a very low risk of toxicity. 41

RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE 1 Capsule
For optimal absorption, we recommend always taking it with a meal.
Ideal Timing In the morning or early afternoon. Never on an empty stomach.
Dosage 1 capsule per day.
Always with a fat-rich meal.

My levels rose from 25 to 40 after 2 months. I recommend it 100%

I only use this one now; my levels rose slightly after 2 months of use

  3. AL

I expect it to be a good product. It is a shame it is not encapsulated with a fat-soluble ingredient but with silicon dioxide (even in a small amount, although combined with other supplements it may have some effect). I will only be able to give a proper assessment after my tests.
