Vitamin D3 is an essential nutrient that helps maintain healthy bones and a healthy immune system, as well as supporting overall well-being. Each capsule contains 4000 IU of Vitamin D3 and 100 mcg of K2-MK7.
Vitamin D3 supplementation has been associated with up to a 36% reduction in the risk of developing influenza in several clinical analyses, according to a meta-analysis of 10 randomized controlled trials. 3
An analysis of 25 clinical trials involving more than 10,000 participants concluded that Vitamin D supplementation may significantly reduce the risk of respiratory infections. 4
Meta-analyses indicate that Vitamin D3 supplementation may be associated with a significant reduction in the frequency and intensity of migraines in people who are deficient in this vitamin. 14
Current evidence, based on more than 80 randomized controlled clinical trials, suggests that regular Vitamin D3 supplementation may contribute to a statistically significant reduction in all-cause mortality. 16
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is a unique vitamin synthesized in the skin through sun exposure. Its role is essential, but insufficient sun exposure (especially in winter or when working in an office) makes supplementation a crucial ally for health.
40% of Europeans have levels considered insufficient. 20 These levels worsen dramatically during winter due to low sun exposure.
Vitamin D3 increases calcium absorption. Without K2 to guide that calcium, it may be deposited in the arteries (calcification) instead of the bones. 26
Vitamin K2 activates proteins that prevent arterial calcification and “bind” calcium to the bones, where it is actually needed. 27
We use the MK7 (Menaquinone-7), which is far superior and more bioavailable than the common MK4 found in generic products. 31
The list of problems associated with Vitamin D3 deficiency is extensive, so levels should always be monitored to ensure adequacy. A deficiency of this vitamin significantly increases the risk of several conditions:
The EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) sets 4,000 IU as the safe daily limit, even for people aged 11 and over. Doses below 10,000 IU/day carry a very low risk of toxicity. 41
*NRV: Nutrient Reference Value (EU Reg. 1169/2011)
Bulking agent (microcrystalline cellulose), anti-caking agents (stearic acid and silicon dioxide), Cholecalciferol (Vit. D3), Menaquinone-7 (Vit. K2).
CAPSULEVegetable capsule (HPMC - Hypromellose).

I expect it to be a good product. It is a shame it is not encapsulated with a fat-soluble ingredient but with silicon dioxide (even in a small amount, although combined with other supplements it may have some effect). I will only be able to give a proper assessment after my tests.
